As we close this year 2024, our words can only be “thank you”. Thank you to God for his faithfulness in the midst of the challenges and joys that this year has brought us, and thank you to each one of you who, with your prayers, commitment and participation, have made it possible for the mission of proclaiming Jesus in the universities of Ecuador to continue moving forward.

A year marked by the book of Daniel: remaining faithful in a hostile environment

During this year, the book of Daniel guided us with its profound teaching on how to live our faith in challenging contexts. Inspired by the motto “Listen to what I am about to say to you” (Daniel 10:11), we explored themes such as:

  1. Faithfulness in the face of opposition: Daniel and his friends taught us to stand firm in our identity and mission, even in hostile environments.
  2. God’s sovereignty in the midst of uncertainty: We learned that even when circumstances seem out of control, God has the final say.
  3. The importance of prayer and fellowship: Daniel reminded us that constant prayer and community life are essential to remaining faithful.

The study of this book has guided our missionary activities on campus. From the campus groups to national events such as National Camp, EFE and corporate devotions, every activity has been imbued with the lessons of Daniel.

Lessons and resources for the journey

This year we discovered together the importance of being light in places where darkness often reigns. We have been challenged to live an authentic faith that inspires others, and we have learned that we are stronger as a community when we walk together.

In addition, the resources shared throughout the year – such as Bible studies, devotionals, blogs and YouTube shows – were important tools for deepening Daniel’s message. If you haven’t explored them yet, we invite you to find them and share them with others.

Looking ahead: 2025 awaits

The year 2025 looks to be full of opportunities to continue to extend the Kingdom of God on campus. As a Fellowship, we encourage you to continue to be active in campus groups, to pray for the mission and to support it through giving. Every contribution, large or small, is significant and makes a difference.

I close with gratitude and an invitation: “Pay attention to what I am about to tell you” in the coming days, as we unveil the book that will guide us to 2025.

“Special thanks to Ruth Hicks for translating the Report into English”.
